This was our second experience in engaging Impact Design. Our first was a major renovation to a family home in a heritage overlay. Due to the success of that collaboration we did not hesitate to work with Darren and the team again to build our brand new family home. They are brilliant. Darren helped us create a new unique and modern home within a traditional footprint. A gorgeous light-filled home with functional and interesting spaces. Nothing was ever too difficult a challenge and his flexibility to push ideas and help us understand the regulations in response to that was so appreciated and added to us enjoying the whole design process. Darren and Katrina’s guidance in navigating the planning process was invaluable and professional. Building a family home is an emotional process and we would not hesitate is recommending Impact Design as a trusted and professional team.

We wanted to extend our house to optimise our spaces for family living and entertaining. After recommendation from another satisfied client, we approached Darren from Impact Design with our long wish list. He managed to incorporate all our items into a cohesive design with ease and we were impressed with his problem solving skills. From here we were led brilliantly through the sometimes challenging process of achieving planning permission from Council. Katrina from I.D. was especially efficient, helpful and patient in her guidance through a few obstacles.

We took up the option of interior design services and this added an extra layer of quality and finesse to our finished product.

It’s been a few years in the making and many changes to the plans along the way, but Impact Design stuck by us and continued to tweak our plans as our local council drew out the process far longer than any of us had anticipated.  Darren did an exceptional job of planning and drawing our dreams out on paper, and Katrina took all the worry and hassle of dealing with third parties out of our hands.  They are a dream team, and even put us in touch with our most incredible builder after our initial builder fell through.  Fast forward 6 months and we’re now only a few months off completing our beautiful new home that is looking even better than we had expected it to, we truly could not be happier.  Impact Design offered us a professional, thorough, personable and incredibly communicative and enjoyable service from start to end, even still regularly checking in on how the build is going, despite them completing their time with us well before the build started.  We’ll be highly recommending them to all of our friends and family that are considering a build of their own!
